God's judgement upon his people when values fall, spiritual matters are neglected and conformity to the manners of this world takes place; infertility and stripes occur (verse 13)
THE FOLLOWING ARE FOUR CONDITIONS FOR AWAKENING AND RESTORATION OF SPIRITUAL LIFE FOR GOD'S DELIBERATE PURPOSE AND BLESSINGS TO HIS PEOPLE (Acts 3:19)
1. "They will humble themselves"- God's people must realize their defeat, must regret for their faults and rededicate themselves in doing God's will.
If the person humbles himself before God and His Word, that person recognizes his worth spiritually (2chronicles 11:16, 15:12-13, 15, Psalms 51:17, Mathew 5;3)
2."Praying"- God's people must pray diligently. For the sake of mercy, they must directly depend on him and believe in his intervention. Prayers must be real and consistent until God answers from the heaven.
"Seeking the face of God"- God's people must seek him diligently and desire his presence and not trying diverge from the problems. (2Chronicles 19:13, 1Chronicles 16:11, Isaiah 55:6-7)
4. To "Turn from their wicked ways"- God's people must repent and leave all the iniquities that that make God sad. They must not agree to conform to the manner of this world so that they approach to God for mercy, forgiveness and sanctification (2Chronicles 29:6-11, 2Kings 17:13,Zechariah 1:4, Hebrews 4:16)
